Today, we brought the traditions of the Dragon Boat Festival to life through an immersive celebration of culture, teamwork, and culinary heritage. Our campus was filled with vibrant energy as students participated in several activities to honor this historic festival:
The festivities began with a storytelling session, where children learned about the legendary origins of the festival and the history of Qu Yuan. This appreciation for history then transitioned into a hands-on experience, with students practicing the delicate craft of wrapping Zongzi. They carefully folded bamboo leaves and secured sticky rice, mastering this traditional culinary skill.
It was a memorable day filled with learning and celebration, beautifully showcasing the enduring legacy of these traditions. We wish everyone a happy and healthy Dragon Boat Festival!
