As part of our “Who Am I?” theme, our PN to K3 students ventured to a park near our school for a memorable outdoor learning experience! As the children explored their local community, they discovered the beauty of the environment around them and had a wonderful time playing and investigating.
Armed with little buckets, the children collected a variety of leaves and colourful flowers. These precious “treasures” seemed to tell stories of the wonders of nature. Through this outdoor experience, the children not only developed a deeper connection with their surroundings but also continued to discover more about themselves, while nurturing their creativity and curiosity. Using the natural materials they collected, the children let their imaginations guide them as they created nature-inspired art frames, using their frames to capture special moments with themselves and their friends.
It was a truly memorable first outdoor learning experience. We look forward to creating many more opportunities to connect with nature and bring learning into meaningful dialogue with the environment around us.
