Today's lunch menu included a special appetizer: pizza!
Prepared at the GuWei museum, it was served from the cardboard box, pre-cut into slices.
Following the objectives of the lunch project, we introduced the children to pizza - a food well known throughout the world, a typical Italian food, originating from the city of Naples. The most traditional pizza, Pizza Margherita, is prepared with tomato and mozzarella (and olive oil) and is therefore a healthy and natural food.
With the help of a student, we then demonstrated how to enjoy it by eating it with your hands: folding the sides of the pizza slice, starting to bite from the center and then moving up towards the edge (which some prefer not to eat).
Background music, the song "Viva la Pappa al Pomodoro" - a pop song from 1963, by the famous Italian singer Rita Pavone, which became famous throughout Italy because it was one of the theme songs of a children's television program.
Long live pizza!
