This year we celebrate the 700th anniversary of the death of greatest Italian poet, Dante Alighieri. IIKG organized a party in his honour to celebrate his contributions! Taking a cue from his most famous work, the "Divine Comedy", the three ateliers of the school were transformed into Paradise, Purgatory and Hell. In the cooking atelier the children enjoyed preparing heavenly biscuits with a sprinkle of icing sugar that looks like the white clouds, in the light and shadow room, a teacher impersonated Charon who "ferried" the children into the fog of Purgatory while in the Art atelier the children experienced the idea of ‘the limit’ through an activity of painting the walls with red paint like the fire! We were very happy to have brought an important piece of Italian culture in to our school and to have honoured the father of the Italian language in Hong Kong.
